3 months of paid internship in Diálogo Language School
City: Salvador, Bahia
Period: May - July 2011

"Since May 30, 2011 to July 22, 2011, I had the most wonderful opportunity to intern at Diálogo Language School in Salvador da Bahia, Brasil. Let me just say, the staff is completely wonderful and the experience of learning was incredible. As an intern at the school, I was responsible in international contracts that included finding students, universities, programs, and companies to learn the Portuguese language at the school. I was also participated in marketing and advertising. I created social network accounts for the school online, created surveys and reviews, updated statuses on current events, edited the school booklet, created a PowerPoint presentation, and took video footage of student engagement at the school. My primary focus interning at the school included learning how the administer, market, and advertise a self-owned business. As a potential MBA student, I cannot begin to explain how much I learned from the staff and had the hands on experience that is necessary to be admitted into a business graduate school. The director, Gisele Reis, was most wonderful; as she openly expressed her opinion on my work and directed me in the way I needed to be more successful. She was very kind and flexible that made the work environment easy-going. I had the option to work between mornings or afternoons, which was easy for traveling, site seeing, social gatherings, and resting. In addition to this, Diálogo placed me with a magnificent host family that cared about my being and treated me as a family member. This school is located in the heart of Barra that includes great restaurants, shops, banks, friends, and not to mention five minutes away from the greatest beach in Salvador! I strongly would recommend other students to intern at Diálogo Language School and encourage people of all area of studies to seek an internship internationally. I want to thank Gisele, Ricardo, Claudia, Jailson, Gustavo, and Egmael for their cooperative work and making this a never forgetting experience. Good luck to everyone e muito obrigado em tudo!"
