Social Volunteer

This is an orphanage house in Diadema, a city 40 minutes away from Sao Paulo downtown. Kids from 3 to 12 are sent there by the State department of children and teens. The 2nd floor of the place is divided in two sectors, one for male and the other for female. All kids go to school during the morning or in the afternoons. During part time they stay at the orphanage to study, play and do other activities.

VOLUNTEERING POSSIBILITIES - Volunteers can work and help in many different ways. Working at the administrative office organizing events or IT activities is very helpful. Working directly with the grown-up ones the volunteer may develop art, recreational or other type of educational activity. But if he/she prefers to work with the smaller ones it will be basically changing diapers, washing them, and playing with those kids. Work can be done in two shifts, mornings or afternoons. (from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00) or according to the volunteer possibilities and wishes.
